If you have children, then you understand the importance of a great education! It will be their foundation for setting a good future, being knowledgeable, and ensuring that they can get the jobs they will enjoy in their adult lives. Although, finding a good school is sometimes the most difficult part when trying to find a home in a new city or neighborhood. Maybe they have wonderful reviews from the parents, but they lack in test scores or vice versa.  We as parents, cherish our children and their wellbeing all around. So why not be aware of some of the best schools in the Kansas City Metro Area? Here are a few to check out!

 

Elementary Schools:

 

  1. Clardy Elementary School in the North Kansas City 74 School District; Clardy is ranked 8/10 overall. They place 8/10 in their academic progress and test scores alike! The equity rating is a 7/10 meaning disadvantaged students at the school are performing better than other students in the state. It is a public school located in Kansas City, MO, it serves grades K-5, and has 493 students.
  2. Shoal Creek Elementary School in the the Liberty 53 School District; this school is ranked 8/10. They place 7/10 in their academic progress and 10/10 for their test scores! The equity rating is 9/10, so nearly every student at this school, regardless of their socioeconomic disadvantages, are performing far better than other students in the state. It is a public school located in Kansas City, MO, it serves grades K-5, and has 907 students.
  3. Bell Prarie Elementary School in the North Kansas City 74 School District; Bell Prarie ranks 8/10 overall. They have a 8/10 ranking in academic progress and 10/10 with their test scores.   2. Blue Valley West High School in Blue Valley School District; their overall rating is 8/10. They rank 10/10 for college readiness and 9/10 with their test scores. Their equity rating is at a 6/10. This public school in Overland Park, KS serves grades 9-12 and has 1,550 students.
  3. Blue Springs South High School in the Blue Springs R-Iv School District; their overall rating is 8/10. They have a rating of 9/10 for college readiness and 9/10 for their test scores. Their equity overview rating is a 5/10. This public school in Blue Springs, MO serves grades 9-12 and has 1,965 students.
  4. Mill Valley High School in the De Soto School District; their overall rating is a 9/10. They have a college readiness rating of 10/10 and their test scores have a rating of 9/10. These sites give you the ability to gather more knowledge on the environment, academics, test scores, and demographics. These are just some of the many well rated schools in Kansas City and the surrounding areas. It’s pretty overwhelming to try and figure out what the best areas to be in for your child’s education are, but I hope this list at least gives you a bit of a start! Good luck.
